Mount Silpium towers over Antakya, offering panoramic views of the city and the Orontes River valley. Historically the acropolis of ancient Antioch, the mountain is dotted with remnants from Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine eras, including the famous 'Charonion' rock relief and cave churches carved into the cliffs.
