The Tombs of the Kings of Pontus are monumental rock-cut chambers carved into the sheer limestone face of Mount Harşena, overlooking Amasya. Dating from the 4th to 1st centuries BCE, these tombs served as burial sites for the Hellenistic Pontic kings. Visitors can hike up the mountain to view the tombs up close, marveling at their intricate facades and the engineering skill required to create them. The site offers stunning panoramic views of the city and river below.
