The Circus of Carthage was once a massive venue for chariot races, capable of holding tens of thousands of spectators. Built during the Roman era, it stretched over 500 meters in length. Today, much of the site lies beneath modern buildings, but visitors can still see remnants of the curved end (sphendone) and parts of the seating area. The site offers a glimpse into ancient entertainment and the scale of Roman Carthage. It's less crowded than other ruins, providing a more contemplative experience.
