Chapelle Saint-Louis de Carthage stands atop Byrsa Hill, built in 1841 on the spot where King Louis IX of France died in 1270 during the Eighth Crusade. The chapel's neo-Gothic design features a single nave and a bell tower, while its interior contains a marble altar and stained-glass windows depicting scenes from the king's life. The surrounding garden offers sweeping views of the Gulf of Tunis and the ancient Carthage ruins. Though small, the chapel is a poignant pilgrimage site and a quiet contrast to the nearby archaeological park.
