Neiafu, the capital of Vavaʻu, is a charming waterfront town that serves as the gateway to the island group. Its harbor is lined with yachts and small fishing boats, while the town center offers a bustling market where locals sell fresh produce, handicrafts, and traditional tapa cloth. Visitors can stroll along the waterfront, dine at cafes overlooking the water, or arrange day trips to nearby islands and snorkeling spots. Neiafu also has a few historical sites, including the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and is the starting point for most whale-watching excursions.
