Château Viale is a striking castle-like structure built by German colonists in the early 20th century, perched on a hill overlooking Kpalimé. Originally a governor's residence, it features thick stone walls, turrets, and arched windows. Today, the castle is a popular viewpoint, with sweeping vistas of the town, the forested hills, and on clear days, even Lake Volta in Ghana. The interior is not always open, but the grounds and terrace are accessible for photography and quiet contemplation.
Don't miss
- Take in panoramic views of Kpalimé and the surrounding hills from the terrace
