Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park, also known as Khao Wang, is a hilltop complex that once served as a royal palace for King Rama IV. Visitors can explore a blend of Thai, Chinese, and European architectural styles across three main peaks. The park features the Phra Nakhon Khiri Palace, several temples, and a museum. A funicular railway or a steep climb leads to the summit, rewarding hikers with sweeping vistas of Phetchaburi's urban landscape and distant mountains. The site is particularly enchanting at sunset when the golden spires catch the fading light.
