Tiger Cave Temple, known locally as Wat Tham Sua, is a Buddhist monastery set in a lush forested area. The site features a cave shrine where monks meditate, but its main draw is the challenging ascent of 1,237 steps to a hilltop stupa. Along the way, visitors pass through dense jungle and encounter monkeys. At the top, the reward is a sweeping vista of Krabi's limestone karsts, the Andaman Sea, and surrounding countryside. The temple grounds also include a large Buddha statue and meditation areas.

  • Climb the 1,237 steps to the summit for panoramic views of Krabi's landscape.
  • Explore the cave shrine, a meditation site with Buddha images and stalactites.
