Wat Khunaram is a Buddhist temple on Koh Samui's Ring Road, famous for displaying the mummified remains of Luang Pordaeng, a monk who died in 1973 while meditating. His body, preserved in a seated position behind glass, is a focal point for both worship and curiosity. Visitors can observe the surprisingly well-preserved figure, often wearing sunglasses, and pay respects. The temple grounds also feature a modern ubosot and a peaceful atmosphere, offering insight into local religious practices and beliefs about meditation and impermanence.
