Wat Suan Dok, built in 1371, is a major temple known for its towering golden chedi that houses a relic of the Buddha. The grounds feature a large open hall with a famous bronze Buddha image, and a row of whitewashed mausoleums containing the ashes of Lanna kings and members of the Chiang Mai royal family. The temple also hosts a monk chat program where visitors can learn about Buddhism. Its serene atmosphere and historical significance make it a must-see.
