A great restaurant that serves food 24/7, offering Thai, Asian, and even Western dishes like American Breakfast. Everything is delicious, the portions are more than generous, the service is excellent, and it's very clean. An outstanding spot in Bangkok, one of the best we've tried.
A very special place in Bangkok!! Very good food 24hours, asian and european food ! Low price, very high leve of service from people (Ice so kind at dinner time) and also who works at breakfast time
This is essentially mid-grade to upper-grade "street food" without the risk of alimentary rebellion, most dishes are between $2-$4 US. The breakfast special, on offer roughly between 6am and 8 or 9 am - I forget which - is a dirt cheap 65 baht or roughtly $2.25 US. Don't expect huge portions, but do expect really tasty, no-fanfare, quickly-prepared food. I was introduced to Took Lae Dee decades ago by a Thai friend with, like me, a college age kid that trimmed back our budgets. He told me in the pricing hierarchy, there was hotel food, "restaurants-with-a-good-reputation" food, cheap eats at Took Lae Dee at Foodland, and street food. He said street food is sometimes THE most delicous, but almost always Russian roulette for tourists. Hotel food almost always a poor value. "In the know" retaurants almost always impossible for tourists to identify, much less get to. Hence, his gift to me, especially as a fellow struggling father of a teenager, was Took Lae Dee. The safe Goldilocks choice. Also, much favored by Europeans for having dirt cheap European and English comfort meals.
They are open during Covid-19 for takeaway or for delivery. Grab and Food panda seen there during the visit. Due to 10 pm curfew, they close by 8-9 at night. Still one of the best club sandwiches in town and reasonable priced also.
