Wat Phanan Choeng is an active temple famous for its enormous seated Buddha statue, Luang Pho To, which stands 19 meters tall and is highly venerated by Thai and Chinese devotees. The statue, dating back to the 14th century, is housed in a large wihan (assembly hall) and is covered in gold leaf applied by worshippers. Visitors can observe the faithful making offerings and lighting incense, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere. The temple grounds also contain a Chinese-style shrine and a bell tower, reflecting the site's long history of Chinese influence.
