The House of Wonders is a majestic palace museum that once served as the sultan's ceremonial residence. Its name derives from being the first building in Zanzibar with electricity and an elevator. Today, exhibits cover the region's maritime history, Swahili culture, and the sultanate era. Visitors can see traditional dhows, royal regalia, and artifacts from the spice trade. The building's grand architecture, including a towering clock and wide verandas, is a highlight in itself.
