The National Museum of Natural Science is a six-venue complex in Taichung's North District, covering 22 acres. It includes the Space Theater, Science Center, Life Science Hall, Human Cultures Hall, Global Environment Hall, and a Botanical Garden with a Tropical Rainforest Greenhouse.

A bit of history
The museum was planned in 1980, with architect Han Pao-teh leading the design. The first phase opened on New Year's Day 1986, featuring the Science Center and Space Theater. The Life Science Hall, designed by James Gardner of the British Museum, opened in August 1988. The Human Cultures and Global Environment Halls followed in August 1993. The Botanical Garden was completed in 1999.
