Taichung Park is a historic urban oasis established in 1903 during Japanese rule. Its centerpiece is a large lake dotted with small islands, connected by arched bridges. The park is home to the Wangyue Pavilion (Moon Pavilion), a two-story Chinese-style structure that offers lake views. Other highlights include a red-brick pavilion, a children's playground, and shaded walking paths. Locals come to exercise, feed turtles, or row boats on the lake. The park's blend of natural beauty and history makes it a beloved city landmark.

Don't miss

  • Climb the Wangyue Pavilion for a classic view over the lake
