The National Theater and Concert Hall, completed in 1987, are twin structures flanking the Liberty Square archway. Designed in a traditional Chinese palace style with sweeping roofs and marble columns, they are home to Taiwan's top performing arts. The National Theater hosts drama, dance, and opera, while the Concert Hall features symphony orchestras and recitals. Visitors can attend performances, explore the grand lobbies, or stroll through the square, which also houses the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.
