Shengping Theater is a beautifully restored cinema from the 1930s, located in the heart of Jiufen. Originally a movie house during the Japanese occupation, it now functions as a cultural venue and museum. Visitors can step inside to see vintage film posters, projectors, and other cinematic memorabilia that tell the story of Taiwan’s early film industry. The theater occasionally screens classic films and hosts performances, preserving the nostalgic ambiance of a bygone era. Its retro facade and interior make it a popular photo spot.
