The Hengchun Old City Wall is a historic fortification built during the Qing dynasty in the late 19th century to protect the town from invasion and tribal conflicts. The wall originally encircled the entire town, and four gates remain today, with the East Gate being the most intact. Visitors can walk along sections of the wall, explore the restored gates, and visit the small museum nearby.
