Shilin Official Residence served as the summer retreat of former President Chiang Kai-shek and his wife Soong Mei-ling. Today, the sprawling estate features a beautiful Chinese-style garden, koi ponds, and walking paths. The main residence has been converted into a museum displaying period furnishings, photographs, and personal artifacts. Visitors can also explore the rose garden and ecological pond. The site offers a peaceful glimpse into Taiwan's political history amidst lush greenery.
