Qixing Mountain, part of Yangmingshan National Park, is Taipei's tallest peak at 1,120 meters. The main trail starts from the Qixing Park parking lot and climbs steeply through grassy slopes and volcanic terrain. Hikers are rewarded with sweeping views of Taipei City, the Taipei Basin, and on clear days, the coast. The mountain is known for its unique ecology, including endemic plants and birds.
