Al-Buzuriyah Souq is a narrow, aromatic lane off Al-Hamidiyah, dedicated to spices, herbs, nuts, and dried fruits. The air is thick with the scent of cumin, saffron, sumac, and rose petals. Vendors heap colorful mounds of spices in burlap sacks, and shoppers can buy by the gram. This souq also sells medicinal herbs, teas, and coffee. It's a sensory feast and a great place to pick up authentic Syrian spices like za'atar or Aleppo pepper. The market has been a hub for centuries.
