Klein Matterhorn, despite its name meaning 'Little Matterhorn', is a massive peak in the Pennine Alps, reaching 3,883 meters. It is best known for the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, the highest cable car station in Europe, which provides year-round access to snow and ice. The journey from Zermatt involves two cable car sections: first to Trockener Steg, then to the summit. At the top, visitors find a panoramic viewing platform with 360-degree views of the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa, and the Swiss-Italian Alps. Indoor attractions include the Glacier Palace, an ice cavern carved into the glacier, and a cinema showing alpine films. The site also features a restaurant and a souvenir shop. Klein Matterhorn is a gateway for summer skiing on the Theodul Glacier and a starting point for high-altitude hikes.
