Les Pléiades is a mountain massif overlooking the eastern shore of Lake Geneva, near Vevey. It is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers, offering a network of well-marked trails that wind through forests, alpine meadows, and rocky outcrops. The summit, at about 1,400 meters, provides sweeping views of the lake, the Lavaux vineyards, and the peaks of the Vaud Alps. In summer, the trails are dotted with wildflowers and offer opportunities for wildlife spotting, including ibex and marmots. There is also a mountain restaurant serving local specialties. The area is accessible via a cogwheel train from Vevey to the summit, making it easy to reach even for casual walkers. Les Pléiades is less crowded than some other Swiss viewpoints, offering a peaceful escape into nature.
