The Fork of Vevey is a playful landmark that has become one of the most photographed spots in the city. Standing 8 meters tall and made of stainless steel, the fork appears to rise directly from the waters of Lake Geneva. It was created by Swiss artist Jean-Pierre Zaugg and installed in 1995 as part of the Alimentarium's 10th anniversary. The fork symbolizes the region's culinary heritage and is a nod to Vevey's status as a food capital. Visitors can walk along the lakeside promenade to see it up close, and it's especially striking at sunset when the metal gleams.

Don't miss

  • Photo opportunity with the fork against the lake and Alps
  • Nearby lakeside promenade for a scenic walk
  • View of the Alimentarium and Vevey's old town
