Nussbaumersee is a tranquil lake nestled in the countryside just outside Stein am Rhein. Its clean, shallow waters make it a favorite spot for swimming, especially on warm summer days. The lake is surrounded by a grassy shore dotted with trees, providing natural shade for picnics. A walking trail circles the entire lake, offering easy, flat terrain for a leisurely stroll or a jog. The water is generally calm and clear, with a designated swimming area that includes a small wooden pier. Lifeguards are not always present, so visitors swim at their own risk. The lake is less crowded than larger nearby lakes, giving it a peaceful, local feel. Benches along the trail invite you to sit and watch ducks and swans. In spring, the surrounding meadows bloom with wildflowers. There is a small parking area and basic facilities like portable toilets during peak season.
