The Rhine Falls, located near the town of Schaffhausen in northern Switzerland, is the largest waterfall in Europe by volume. The falls are 150 meters wide and 23 meters high, with an average flow of 600,000 liters of water per second in summer. Visitors can experience the power of the water from several viewing platforms, including a central rock that can be reached by boat. The mist from the falls creates rainbows on sunny days, and the roar of the water is constant. Boat trips take you right up to the falls, offering a thrilling close-up view. The surrounding parkland is perfect for a leisurely stroll, and the nearby Laufen Castle provides a dramatic backdrop. It's a must-see natural wonder that combines raw power with scenic beauty.
