Trümmelbach Falls offers a unique natural spectacle: ten glacial waterfalls thundering inside a mountain, accessible via an internal lift. Located near Mürren in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, these falls are the only underground waterfalls in Europe. The water, fed by melting glaciers from the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, carries 20,000 tons of rock debris annually, carving the mountain from within. Visitors take a lift into the mountain and then walk through illuminated tunnels and galleries that pass directly alongside the roaring water. The experience is both awe-inspiring and intimate, as you feel the spray and hear the thunder of the falls in the confined space. The site is a natural monument and a must-see for anyone interested in geology or unique natural phenomena.
