Mont Bonvin is a 2,995-meter peak in the Bernese Alps, located above the village of Crans-Montana but accessible from Leukerbad via a network of lifts and trails. The mountain is part of the larger ski area of Crans-Montana, but its summit offers a quieter, more rugged experience. In winter, Mont Bonvin is a haven for skiers and snowboarders, with a variety of runs that cater to intermediate and advanced levels. The slopes are known for their excellent snow conditions and stunning views over the Rhone Valley. In summer, the mountain transforms into a hiking paradise, with trails that lead through alpine meadows and past rocky outcrops. The summit rewards hikers with a 360-degree panorama of the Valais Alps, including the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc on clear days. Mont Bonvin is less crowded than some other peaks in the region, offering a sense of solitude and connection with nature. The area is also popular for paragliding and mountain biking.
