Caumasee (also known as Lag la Cauma) is a crystal-clear, turquoise lake nestled in a forest near Laax, Switzerland. Fed by underground springs, the lake maintains a refreshing temperature of around 20–24°C in summer, making it a popular spot for swimming. The lake is surrounded by a lush forest of pines and larches, with a large grassy sunbathing area and a wooden sunbathing pier that extends over the water. What makes Caumasee distinctive is its vibrant color, which comes from glacial rock flour suspended in the water, and its peaceful atmosphere, no motorized boats are allowed. Visitors can swim, paddle on a stand-up paddleboard, or simply relax on the grass. A small restaurant serves snacks and drinks. The lake is easily accessible from Laax via a short walk or a free shuttle bus in summer.
