The Schynige Platte Railway is a historic cogwheel railway that climbs from Wilderswil to the Schynige Platte summit. Operating since 1893, the railway is a marvel of engineering, ascending steep gradients through forests and alpine meadows. The journey takes about 50 minutes, offering ever-expanding views of Lake Brienz, Interlaken, and the Jungfrau mountains. The vintage carriages add a nostalgic charm.
