Schiedberg Castle is a medieval castle ruin located on a hill near the village of Sagogn, just a short drive from Flims. The site includes the remains of the main castle building, a defensive wall, and a well-preserved chapel dedicated to Saint George. The chapel still contains fragments of medieval frescoes and is occasionally used for small events. The castle grounds offer lovely views of the surrounding countryside, including the Rhine Gorge and the Flimserstein. The setting is quiet and pastoral, with grazing cows often nearby. A short, gentle walk from the parking area brings you to the ruins, making it an easy and rewarding stop for history buffs and families alike.
