The Langwieser Viaduct is an iconic stone railway viaduct located near the village of Langwies, about 10 kilometers from Davos. Built between 1912 and 1914 as part of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) line connecting Davos to Filisur, this curved viaduct spans the Landwasser River at a height of 62 meters. Its elegant arch design and rustic stonework blend seamlessly with the surrounding forested valley, making it a favorite subject for photographers and railway enthusiasts. Visitors can watch the iconic red RhB trains cross the viaduct, often emerging from tunnels on either side. A short hiking trail leads to viewpoints below the viaduct for dramatic upward shots, while the nearby Langwies station offers easy access. The viaduct is also a highlight of the Glacier Express route, adding to its allure. In winter, the snow-covered structure creates a fairy-tale scene.
