Old City (Bern)

The Old City of Bern is a beautifully preserved medieval town center and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its sandstone buildings, covered arcades (Lauben), and 16th-century fountains create a unique atmosphere. Visitors can stroll along the cobblestone streets, admire the Zytglogge clock tower, and explore the many shops and cafés under the arcades. The Aare river wraps around the peninsula, offering scenic views from the Nydeggbrücke bridge. The Münster (cathedral) provides a panoramic view of the city and the Alps.
