The Bern Theatre (Stadttheater Bern) is a historic performing arts venue located near the Old City. Built in 1903, it features a grand neo-baroque façade and an ornate interior. The theater presents a diverse program of opera, drama, ballet, and musicals, with performances in German. It is home to the Bern Symphony Orchestra. The main auditorium seats about 1,000 guests, and there is also a smaller studio stage (Vidmarhalle) for experimental works. The theater's location makes it easy to combine a performance with a meal in the nearby restaurants.
