Camoghè is a prominent mountain peak (2,226 m) located just north of Bellinzona, offering some of the best panoramic views in the region. The mountain is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers, with well-marked trails that wind through forests and alpine meadows. The summit rewards visitors with breathtaking vistas of the Swiss Alps, Lake Maggiore, and the surrounding valleys. The hike is moderately challenging, taking about 3-4 hours from the trailhead near the village of Pianezzo. Along the way, you'll encounter diverse flora and fauna, including wildflowers and marmots. The mountain is less crowded than other peaks in the area, providing a peaceful escape into nature. On clear days, the view extends to the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa.
