At 1,956 meters, Hahnenmoos Pass is a high-altitude saddle in the Bernese Alps that connects the resorts of Adelboden and Lenk. In summer, the pass is a haven for hikers and mountain bikers, with well-marked trails traversing flower-strewn meadows and offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, including the Wildstrubel and Albristhorn. The pass is also part of the famous 'Via Alpina' long-distance hiking trail. In winter, Hahnenmoos Pass becomes a key link in the Adelboden-Lenk ski area, with ski runs and a chairlift crossing the pass. The area is known for its reliable snow cover and gentle slopes, making it ideal for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The pass itself features a small mountain restaurant where visitors can rest and enjoy traditional Swiss cuisine while taking in the alpine scenery. The experience of crossing Hahnenmoos Pass is one of transition, moving between two distinct valleys and experiencing the serene beauty of the high Alps.
