Sergels torg is a bustling public square in the heart of Stockholm, connecting the commercial districts of Norrmalm and the Old Town. Its centerpiece is a 37-meter-tall glass obelisk, designed by Edvin Öhrström, which glows with light at night. The square features a sunken pedestrian plaza with a large fountain and is surrounded by modern buildings, including the Kulturhuset cultural center. It’s a hub for shopping, events, and people-watching.
Don't miss
- Photograph the glass obelisk, especially when illuminated after dark.
- Visit the Kulturhuset for exhibitions, theater, and a rooftop café.
- Watch street performers and locals in the sunken plaza.
