Kiruna Central Station, built in the early 20th century, is a landmark of the town's mining heritage. The station serves the Malmbanan railway line connecting Kiruna to Luleå and Narvik. Due to ground deformation from the nearby Kiruna Mine, the entire station is being carefully moved to a new location, a unique engineering feat. Visitors can see the building on its slow journey or at its new site, where it will continue to operate. The station's classic architecture contrasts with the modern mining landscape.
