Lugnet Hills rise above Falun, providing a network of hiking trails with rewarding viewpoints. The main trail leads to a lookout tower where visitors can see the city, Lake Runn, and the surrounding Dalarna landscape. The hills are part of the larger Lugnet recreation area but feel wilder, with rocky outcrops and pine forests. In autumn, the foliage is vibrant. The trails are well-marked and suitable for all fitness levels.
