The Temple of Amun at Jebel Barkal is one of the largest and best-preserved temples in Sudan, originally built by the Egyptian pharaoh Thutmose III and later expanded by Kushite kings. The temple complex includes a series of pylons, courtyards, and a hypostyle hall, with walls covered in reliefs depicting offerings and rituals. Visitors can walk through the main entrance and see the sanctuary where the god's statue once stood. The temple's state of preservation allows for a vivid sense of ancient worship and royal power.
