Pidurangala Vihara is a Buddhist monastery perched on a large rock formation just north of Sigiriya. The climb passes a reclining Buddha statue and cave temples before reaching the summit, where a flat plateau provides an unobstructed view of Sigiriya Rock, especially stunning at sunrise. The site is less crowded than Sigiriya and offers a more rugged, natural experience with a sense of adventure.

- Ancient reclining Buddha statue and cave temples
