Groote Kerk, also known as the Dutch Reformed Church, was completed in 1755 and stands as one of the oldest Protestant churches in Sri Lanka. Its interior features a striking floor made of 18th-century tombstones from the Dutch cemetery, each engraved with intricate carvings and family crests. The church also houses a historic organ and a pulpit carved from calamander wood.
