Sigiriya, also known as Lion Rock, is a 5th-century rock fortress built by King Kashyapa. Visitors climb steep staircases past the famous frescoes of celestial maidens and through the massive lion's paw entrance. The summit offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding jungle and countryside. The site also features elaborate water gardens, mirror wall, and ancient palace ruins, making it one of Sri Lanka's most iconic archaeological wonders.
