A bit of history
Built in 1887 by architect Antonio Cominges, it was originally named Teatro Circo. It was renamed after the philanthropist García Barbón, who funded its restoration after a fire in 1910. The theatre reopened in 1925 and underwent further renovations in the 1990s.
