The Costa de la Luz, or 'Coast of Light,' stretches along Spain's southwestern Atlantic shore, offering some of the most beautiful and less-crowded beaches in the country. Near Vejer de la Frontera, highlights include Playa de El Palmar, a long stretch of golden sand known for its excellent surf breaks, and the wilder Playa de Los Caños de Meca, backed by pine forests. The area is a haven for water sports, especially surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing. Beyond the beaches, visitors can explore coastal trails, dunes, and the nearby Cabo de Trafalgar lighthouse, all bathed in the region's famed luminous light.
