Casa de las Conchas, or the House of Shells, is one of Salamanca's most iconic landmarks. Its façade is adorned with more than 300 carved scallop shells, symbols of the Order of Santiago and the Camino de Santiago. Built in the late 15th century, it originally belonged to a knight of the order. Today, the building serves as a public library, welcoming visitors to explore its courtyard and exhibition halls. Inside, you'll find a peaceful Gothic courtyard with a central fountain, and the upper floors host rotating art and cultural exhibits. The blend of Gothic and Plateresque architecture makes it a must-see for architecture enthusiasts.
