The Alcazaba of Málaga is a magnificent Moorish fortress and palace complex dating back to the 11th century. Perched on a hill overlooking the city and the port, it is one of the best-preserved alcazabas in Spain. The site features a series of fortified walls, towers, and courtyards, with beautiful gardens filled with fountains, orange trees, and bougainvillea. Inside, the Palacio Nazarí showcases intricate Islamic architecture with horseshoe arches and ornate stucco work. The Alcazaba is connected to the Gibralfaro Castle via a walled corridor, offering a combined visit. From the upper terraces, visitors enjoy sweeping views of Málaga's bullring, cathedral, and the Mediterranean Sea.
