Parque del Oeste is a sprawling green space in the Moncloa district of Madrid, stretching from the Plaza de España to the Ciudad Universitaria. Created in the early 20th century, the park is known for its lush rose garden (Rosaleda), which hosts an annual international rose competition. The park also features a cable car (Teleférico) that runs over the Manzanares River to the Casa de Campo, offering aerial views of the city. Visitors can stroll along tree-lined paths, relax by fountains, and enjoy sculptures and monuments, including a replica of the Egyptian Temple of Debod (located at the park's edge). The park's elevated position provides excellent views of the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral. It's a popular spot for jogging, picnicking, and family outings.
