Convento de San Marcos is a historic former monastery that now operates as a luxurious parador hotel. Its most striking feature is the Plateresque facade, an intricate masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance architecture filled with sculpted details. The building dates back to the 16th century and has a rich history as a monastery, prison, and now hotel. Visitors can admire the facade from the outside, explore the church interior, and stroll along the adjacent Bernesga River. The parador's cloister and public areas are also open to guests.
