Parc de la Devesa

Parc de la Devesa is Girona's largest urban park, a tranquil green space stretching along the Onyar River. It's a favorite among locals for leisurely strolls, jogging, and family outings. The park is characterized by its long, tree-lined avenues, particularly the impressive plane trees that create a shaded canopy. A bit of history

Parc de la Devesa was created in the 19th century on former floodplain land. Its iconic plane trees were planted in the 1850s. The park has been a central recreational space for Girona residents ever since.
